StreamComputing was founded in April 2019, and established a technical roadmap to design high-end data center chips based on the RISC-V instruction set from the beginning. We also developed a strategy to gradually evolve from domain-specific architectures (DSA) to general-purpose computing （CPU）, and a product plan that focuses on AI chips as the entry point, emphasizing inference before training.
The company has a total of 230 employees, with over 60% of them having graduate or higher degrees, and 90% of them being R&D personnel. The company has applied for a total of 194 patents, with invention patents accounting for 96%.
The company's first-generation product is a 12nm AI inference chip, with all of the chip's computational cores, chip microarchitecture, and upper-level software compiler toolchains developed in-house. With technical innovation and self-controllable advantages in chip architecture and software-hardware integration, StreamComputing can support the domestication and replacement of China's data center computing platform.
StreamComputing is not only a member of the RISC-V International Foundation, but also the chair unit of the AI division. Currently, StreamComputing's high-end AI acceleration chip is the leading RISC-V-based commercial product in the data center field worldwide.
StreamComputing is committed to breaking through the computing power boundary with the RISC-V extendable instruction set, and providing unlimited potential through AI and heterogeneous computing for various industries.
At Streamcomputing, we firmly believe that the future will be more vibrant as everything becomes intelligently interconnected. StreamComputing is dedicated to breaking the boundaries of connectivity and computing, and working closely with more partners to inject new vitality into industries and people's lives.
